After a full career in the Royal Navy and few years as journeyman electrician in our local area, I have retired and returned to my highest scoring ‘O’ level: Woodwork. In First lockdown I built a workshop (or PIU - Personal Isolation Unit) at the bottom of the garden. Subsequent limitations to our freedom have resulted in large quantities of sawdust and a some presentable artefacts from both router and newly acquired lathe; all the grand children got a ‘Colwin’ designed egg cup! Each project spawns at least two more and so I shall be busy forever
