I am retired and I started woodworking in 2020, I equipped my garage with kit from Axminster craft thicknesser/planer, table saw, band saw and extractor.
I have been making a variety of furniture for our house as well as for friends and family. The latest project is building a coastal rowing boat using strip western red cedar.
I like to design in Sketchup or Fusion 360 and use up left over timber from the house build and what washes up on the beach. Where necessary I buy in rough sawn timber. I found almost everything I have done a challenge but after a year I have learnt better workflows and techniques - You tube videos have been my main learning resource.
