Hi Wilhelm, thats ironic as you were the one who posted the item about stumpy nubs. I recently replaced the flourescant tubes in my workshop as Screwfix had a promotion running. They give clear, bright light with no flickering and so avoid this type of incident.
I hope you get better soon and it does not affect your hand movement.

Hi Steve.
I have, one-handed, replaced my flouros with 800 watts of L E Ds. Its like daylight in there.
Itās bizarre how an inoperative index finger can get in the way.
I replaced my fluorescent tubes a couple of years ago for LED tubes, ready made and simply plug in to replace the originals (all you have to do is remove the starters for the fluorescent tubesā¦much better light all round, and of course none of the flickeringā¦ bought them on-lone from a UK supplier in Hemel Hempsteadā¦and very competitively priced.
If you want the riviting knife to be a permanent part of your life, you may need to get an actual yatoshi blade that cuts smoothly. Woodworking is hard but I really hope you get used to it.
