I stupidly bought a new 4 jaw chuck for my newly purchased AC305WL but did not fully pay attention to the sizing. Received it and it won’t fit, there are no threads to mount it. Looked for a three hole 80mm faceplate to see if I could mount it with the bolts included but not having any luck. Lesson learned pay attention. Anybody have any ideas or advice that they could give that would make this usable? Any help appreciated.
Your lathe has a 1” x 8 tpi headstock thread as far as i can recall. If your chuck has a different thread size (Cos you got it Cheap 2hand perhaps?) you will need to identify the thread and if possible chuck manufacturer and buy an adapter or replacement thread insert to match your own thread.
