Interchangeability of chucks on different manufactures lathes

I have an Axminster AWVSL1000 and have been offered some Record power chucks from a mate down south. Before spending heavy on postage would these fit my lathe? Are thread sizes standard between manufacturers? Thanks for any help here

Hi Bob, I can’t answer specifically if they will fit but I can definitely say that not all are common even from the same manufacturers. I have two Axminster lathes and the thread is different on each. You will need common thread. As an example if you check out the Axminster Sk100 or 114 you will see it can be purchased with a number of different thread options. There are third party converters but I have strayed clear of those.
