Hi
Nowhere near the standard of other makes on here + not finished due to falling down the stairs early hrs of the morning - but …
Sadly Lost my father in law March the 1st - so started making this through the tears - he was known as cowboy and the best Grandpa my boys could’ve wished for - started carving Nov last yr so quite impressed with myself to be fair.

Posting on behalf of Steve Kirkman:

#MakeItInMarch20 I started woodworking 12 years ago after I retired but have had the design for this chess board in my mind for well over 20 years. The chess piece designs came to me after I made the board. All made in maple and walnut (and a lot of glue !).

Concert size ukulele handmade from a combination of cedar, ash, walnut, maple and laburnum.
Carbon fibre reinforcement was incorporated into the soundboard bracing. The machine heads were hand machined from titanium and brass using a metalworking lathe. Finished with oil-varnish.

This Comp looks a little out of my league but here goes nothing.
this is a SUPERKING size bed i made for myself and my family (there are four of us)
its made in such a way i can dismantle it and build it again if and when we were to move house. Through mortise and tenons with 20mm oak dowels hold the side rails into the foot and head posts. i have also screwed angle brackets in each internal corner for extra support but to be honest it really dose not need it, its super solid!! topped with a Simba mattress its an amazing bed First sleep was a few nights ago and were all sleeping like babys !! (i have more photos but can only upload one here?)

A good friend had hit some real hardship, and needed a family dining table. She had 6 rough scaffold boards that were to be chucked out. I thought I could help and came up with this design; entirely constructed from the boards apart from sapele splines for mitred legs. She was very pleased…

I really like the understated character of this cabinet. You should definitely congratulate yourself on capturing the spirit of Jimmy Krenov - well done.

Made this for my niece for her wedding which should have been 28th March, now postponed due to current circs, I’m sure her future husband will thank me for giving her the perfect weapon when he upsets her!!! Keep smiling everyone

I took part in the Axminster intro to routing in February and have now progressed to this. These are a set of tablemats made form Indian Rosewood with a Sycamore inlay. Fiddly but very rewarding.

Spent my lockdown birthday walking to the workshop to snap some pics of my table. Although more complicated than anticipated I am pleased with it

Hi everybody!
My name is Tim, i’m from France and I’m also fond of woodworking… (Really??!)
I start this project in the beginning of the month with reclaimed wood and reclaimed steel… First I used plywood for the wood parts and started to dresign curves in it with sanding some layers and some not, but I finally prefered put some different types of wood to make it a bit like a painting…
Excuse, please, my bad english…

Hope you will enjoy it!
I also want to congratulate other woodworkers here! I saw some projects that are incredibles!!

Cordially,

Tim BUCHET
