Pencil Gauge...a clever idea!

Here’s a thread from FB where Derek Jones, the editor of ‘Furniture & Cabinetmaking’ magazine posted a very cunning way to make a pencil gauge.

If you disregard all the discussion and concentrate solely on the clip, it’s a very clever idea. I’ve just tried it out and it takes less that five minutes to do, assuming that you have a decent HB pencil, an 8mm bolt and a nut.
