Hi all anyone any idea what the flat head screw does , thanks
It’s a screw pin (70) which acts as a guide pin for the guide frame (69).
Here’s a copy of the owners manual. The highlighted text applies to the machine model I have. Axminster Tools sent me a pdf copy of the manual but I edited it so the pages are cropped to show a page at a time in the correct order and I’ve included an electronic index.
CCBB - bookmarked.pdf (1.6 MB)
By the way I recommend searching the group for CCBB there are a few posts on this machine.
Thanks Patrick much appreciated. Need new top guide as the cast one has crumbled , thinking of making my own
The perform range was sold by Axminster Tools and later they sold it under their own name. They still sell spare parts for it. I bought a top guide frame (112) from them because mine broke too. It took a few weeks to get one because they didn’t have one in stock but I think they got one made.
You can contact their customer services here, Contact Us | Axminster Tools. Or give them a call on, 03332 406406.
Thanks Patrick , but I contacted them and unfortunately they no longer cast many of the parts , so unfortunately you have to find another way , thanks though
Maybe you can find someone to 3D print one if you still have the original parts for them to scan.
Just a suggestion, I googled – 3d printing service uk
Sorry my lead bearing unit has crumbled as well. Im looking for a CAD drawing with dimensions to get one printed. Axminster were not helpful!
