Could anyone identify this plane for me please. It was my Grandpa’s who used to be a cabinet maker back in the day.

I think it was called a smoothing plane, we used similar at school.

Thanks for that, I think smoothing planes are bigger though?
I’ve been looking online and it looks like it’s a Chariot Plane. There’s a few slightly different styles out there but it’s looking more like that. Cheers
